Bethany Blackburn

Before I knew the Lord,
I always had a love for the people of Africa. But after
giving my life to the Lord in 2005 I heard the call in my heart to specifically serve Him in Africa. This year, with great support of friends and family, the opportunity came to join with Spreading the Good News and travel to Uganda and Kenya. I became a part of the Lord’s plan, as it says in Matthew 28:18-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”.

I was blessed with no fear and great boldness to go and serve Him! I urge anyone that knows the Lord to listen to His voice for He has called all of us to be harvesters. You never know how the Lord is going to use you to be a blessing to others, and how you will be blessed and enriched by following Jesus Christ. I was truly blessed in many ways during this mission trip. My faith in the Lord has grown, my love has grown, and I am in awe of my King Jesus for He has opened my eyes to the world unseen and to the fact that He needs us believers to be vessels of faith for Kingdom work to be accomplished. Without faith, the miracles we were a part of would not have happened.

This trip surpassed all of my flesh’s expectations. I have a new zeal to follow as my Lord commands! To go into all the world and teach the most wonderful gospels of life! “For our Heavenly Father so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have
everlasting life.” -John 3:16 I am grateful for what the Lord has done and I look forward to serving on future mission trips! Hallelujah! †
